President's Message

As the newly-elected president of Boone Lake Improvement Association I think my first order of business is to recognize the hard work and dedication of the previous board of governors.  The events of the last four years have required a strong board – and fortunately we had one.  Under the leadership of Claudia Careta, who spent endless hours coordinating the many tasks required to guide the Association, the board successfully saw to the repair of the dam, a time-intensive and costly endeavor.  Bob Mageau oversaw the project and other board members either helped out or raised the funds necessary to do the job.  I thank each and every board member – Claudia Careta, Herman Ruhlmann, Peg Boyd, Rich Booth, Dick Engel, Joe Fulford, Bob Mageau and Jean Pigeon – for all their hard work.  Their efforts will serve as an example for the new board to follow.

We’ve got another great board of governors in place.  I’ve already talked with some members and they have some exciting ideas in mind.  I’m looking forward to serving as your president and working with the board to make Boone Lake even a better place to live.
